SATURDAY
Oceanside, Long Beach and Fullerton

This was the little GPS system that we used. It was a bit of a mixed blessing at times. The maps were neat, but the spoken directions were sometimes a little late to make turns and lane changes, especially in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the freeways.

The majestic Pacific Ocean in Oceanside, California. We were going to drive all the way down to San Diego, but traffic was getting backed up and it was just too far to travel just for lunch.
There were the damnedest things. I guess they were squirrels. They sure looked like them. But I've never see squirrels on the beach. They also don't have the big bushy tails like we are used to seeing on squirrels.

The marina at Oceanside. Look at all these boats. Damn rich people. We should tax them more so they can't have things I don't have. (Sounds stupid when you read it, doesn't it.)
We had lunch at the Jolly Roger. I had fish tacos. They were good.
A look out the window of the restaurant to the marina.

That's Long Beach. It does look fairly long, doesn't it?

This is the Queen Mary and the old Soviet sub "Scorpion".

Woo hoo! A soccer game! I was a little surprised that Chivas USA didn't draw more than around 10K for a Saturday night match. It was a beautiful night and the facility is great. I brought home a scarf for my wall to go with the six others.
I wanted to catch a goal in action, but that's pretty hard to do. Besides, I wanted to watch the game.
Behind the opposite goal was the Chivas USA supporters section. They were loud and they jumped up and down pretty much throughout the match.
And there's the final. Someone at the Home Depot Center should get a copy of Colorado Rapids' new logo.
