Heading to the port at...
Castries, Saint Lucia.
An anagram of Saint Lucia is "italic anus".
Hewanorra House looks like a hotel, but it is just an office building.
The only excursion we booked on the trip was in Saint Lucia, which is good because there was not too much around the port.
We'll be away from the ship for about 5 1/2 hours.
So there was a lot of driving around. This is the Government House, the home of the Governor General of Saint Lucia.
The driver took us through the campus of Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, named after the Saint Lucian Nobel laureate economist W. Arthur Lewis. There is an old armory building on the grounds.
We stopped at a small shop/bar for photos and souvenirs shopping.
Bananas are the main agricultural product on the island.
This was my sister's fault. She knows how much I do not like having my picture taken and if given the opportunity I will pull a face when the camera timer hits zero.
Stanley Jon Odlum Memorial Secondary School. Unlike Rihanna, Mr. Odlum is probably actually dead.
I am certain that the driver said why there are bags over the bananas, but I don't recall. Maybe something like pest damage prevention or something like that?
We drove through a lot of small residential areas.
There is a thing in the Caribbean about second stories of buildings being unfinished I think for some sort of tax avoidance reason. I heard it first on the excursion in Sint Maarten thirty years before. The driver also mentioned it.

Here's something you don't see every day, a guy holding a large snake next to a little bamboo shack.
The weather was pretty much great every day on the cruise.
I noticed several of these kinds of places along the road. They seem to be little bars.

A little house in the trees on the side of a hill. That was going to be the sequel from Laura Ingalls Wilder.
A notable geographic feature on the island is The Pitons, a pair of volcanic plugs. They are Petit Piton and Gros Piton. They are almost the same height, 2438 and 2618.9 feet high, respectively. Not sure why they named them small and big. There is no truth to the rumor that they were the inspiration for that pointy bra that Madonna used to wear.

When Robert Palmer, Robert Taylor, John Taylor and Tony Thompson used to visit the island, they stayed in this building.
