| I would have stopped at the Hole N" the Rock, which was originally a home carved into the rock back in the 1940's and 50's that became a tourist attraction, but I was on a schedule for the afternoon. |

| It was laundry day in Moab, the lowest point on the trip at 4,026 ft. I spent about an hour or so washing clothes. |

| The Red Stone Inn was practically across the street from that laundromat. |

| The reason for the time considerations was that I had a timed entry for Arches National Park. However, I thought it was for 4:00, but it was in fact for 3:00. The timed entry thing ends at 5:00, so basically I got to enter fifteen minutes before anyone could just enter. |

| There is a trail that runs through Park Avenue and Courthouse Towers. I did not walk it. |

| No idea what this is called, if anything. I do wonder if it was once an arch a long time ago that collapsed. |

| It was a hot sunny day. There were a few clouds but not enough for my liking. Shade was rare and short-lived when a cloud blocked the sun. |

| There are over two thousand arches in the park and likely more that are no longer. Two arches may have once spanned this gap. Sheep Rock is the one on the right and there is a small arch that is not really visible at the bottom of the rock on the left. |

| Anyway, this is at the other end of the 0.9 mile long Park Avenue Trail. It took a lot less time to drive the longer way around. |

 Arches National Park lies atop an underground salt bed that is responsible for the various arches, spires, balanced rocks, sandstone fins and eroded monoliths. |
