After the day on St. Maarten, it was back on the ship and through the night we steamed toward the U.S. Virgin Islands. The ship let us off at Cruz Bay on St. John and proceeded to St. Thomas without us. I'll tell you why later.
| Two-thirds of St. John is a national park, which is nice. There's not all the houses and resorts and all the other trappings of human settlement. A view of the northern shore of the island. | ![]() |
| This is a bad photo of the ruins of the Annaberg Plantation sugar mill. I don't know how it got ruined, but the plantation dated back to 1733. | ![]() |
| Here's something you don't see everyday. A donkey just walking around. Maybe it was what ruined the plantation. | ![]() |
| I wanted to take a picture of lovely island women. All I got was a lovely island women's lavatory. | ![]() |
| Another flag shot. Just to prove that I was actually in the Virgin Islands and not in South Florida. They do look a bit alike, you know. | ![]() |
| I don't know what it is with me and pictures of flags and gas station signs. | ![]() |
