DAY 2

DISNEYLAND PARIS
On the way back to the park, I went into the Disneyland Hotel. It's more or less a cross between the Grand Floridian and the Boardwalk Resorts at WDW.

Being right in front of the park entrance, I think there might be some rooms with windows that look into the park. This was taken from one of the corridors. On the walls along this hall was conceptual art of the Disney parks.

Back on Main Street. I just liked this building.

There is a tableau of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty. It is part of the Liberty Arcade, an indoor shopping area.

Town Square on Main Street. They were putting up some sort of Christmas thing in the center of the square, so there were walls up.

The Emporium pretty much looks the same no matter what park you are in.

Inside there were murals referencing the stores at WDW...

...and Disneyland.

I thought this was interesting. When the park opened in 1992, it was called Euro Disneyland. For some reason that name didn't sit well with the Europeans so it was renamed Disneyland Paris. Anyway, this is on the steps of the train station. It is EDRR for Euro Disneyland Railroad. I don't know why they didn't change it.

All aboard. The train takes a long time to make its way around the park, but since my legs were killing me, I didn't mind not walking for a while.

Cherie, J'ai Retreci le Public, or Honey, I Shrunk The Audience. It is the same film as in the other parks, but it is dubbed into French. The back several rows of the theatre have headphones with translations into various languages, including the original English soundtrack. But I'd heard that so many times before. I listened in French.

Phantom Manor at night.

Discoveryland looks great after dark.

The park closed at 8:00 p.m. I left a little before then to beat the crowd. Not that there was much of a crowd, but I thought the train station might get a little busy after closing time.
