SATURDAY - URAYASU ![]()
URAYASU
![]() The flight home didn't leave until after 5:00 in the afternoon, so there was no particular rush to get to the airport. |
|
| On the way to and from Tokyo Station along the Keiyo Line we passed this huge multi-level driving range. Since Karen and I took the train to Disneyland to go to a store outside the parks, we just stayed on a little longer to get a photo of this place. |

| With my weird little monkey man thing on my shoulder encouraging me, I can do anything! |
![]() |
| We picked up a few last minute things at the store, including something for William and Isabelle for letting two old strangers stay in their bedrooms. |

| There is so much going on in this cartoony warning poster I can't really explain it. A guy has his umbrella caught in the train door while trapping his foot between the train and the platform. Another guy is pushing some button. And the little old lady's ass seems to be exploding. All while a couple of cats look on. |

| There was still plenty of time before we had to head toward the airport, so I decided to take a walk toward the bay. On the way I saw a soccer team having a Saturday morning practice. |
![]() |
| Several people were fishing on the beautiful Saturday morning. Go figure the two nicest days of the trip were the last day and a half we were there. |
![]() |
| And in the park by the bay there was a baseball team also doing some practicing. |
![]() |
| Looks like a fishing boat and a guy with a few lines out in the water. Wonder who will have a bigger haul. |
![]() |
| This was fairly far off in the distance. If it was a sailboat it must have been huge. |
![]() |
| Aaah, a volcano has sprouted up out of nowhere! Or we're really just close to Tokyo DisneySea. |
![]() |
| I don't have the upper body strength to do something like this. |
![]() |
| Up there on the eighth floor is where the apartment is. That's laundry out on the balcony to dry. It seems that clothes driers are not that common over there. |
![]() |
| On the train to Tokyo Station to catch the Narita Express, the price for which was covered by our JR Passes. Such a bargain if you use it enough, which we certainly did. |
![]() |
| I remember these tasty vegetable flavored potato sticks from my last visit. I had to get some before we left. In fact I got some at the station waiting for the Narita Express and then some more at the airport. |
![]() |
| The last shot of the trip, the Sky Tree, from the window of the train. No, it's not really a show stopper, but there you have it. |
