DAY 2
London

There aren't a whole lot of crosswalks more famous than this one. Just picture John, Ringo, Paul and George walking from left to right across...
...Abbey Road.
This is the famous Abbey Road Studios where the Fab Four recorded so much great music.
While it is closely associate with the Beatles, many other famous artists have recorded here as well. These include James Taylor, Pink Floyd, Cliff Richard, U2 and a whole bunch of other folks.
St. John's Wood Synagogue on Grove End Road not far from the Abbey Road Studios. Since I take so many picture of churches it's only fair to take some of places of worship of other faiths.
This little electric car is even smaller than the Smart Car.
This stadium inconspicuously located on this city street is...
...Lord's Cricket Ground. I may be in the minority, but I like cricket. But to be honest I have not had to sit through an entire match that last for days.
I tried to get inside the gate to the ground, but there was a guard at the gate who had other ideas.
I couldn't very well take pictures of Christian churches and Jewish temples without one of a Muslim mosque as well. This is the London Central Mosque located adjacent to Regent's Park.

Like I mentioned before, the warm weather brought a lot of people out to the parks. This is a panoramic photo of Regent's Park.

While the weather was mild, I would imagine the water would be cold if you tipped your little pedal boat and fell in the lake.
Baker Street isn't just famous because of the Gerry Rafferty song. It is of course the home of the fictional literary detective Sherlock Holmes. 221B Baker Street to be exact. It is the home of this Sherlock Holmes Museum.
Remember the Dorking train I mentioned way back from my first trip? Well I did. Anyway, we had to catch the same Dorking train to get back out to Carshalton.
You may recognize the old Battersea Power Station from the cover of Pink Floyd's Animals album. This photo from the train is taken from the opposite corner of the station than the album cover.

To Day 3 - Sutton and Surrey
