London
| The queen's house. Well, one of them. This is Buckingham Palace. Man, it must be a bitch to clean. I hope she has some help. | ![]() |
| Guys in funny helmets on horseback rode by while we were in front of the palace. There were a lot of tourists hanging around the gate waiting for the changing of the guard. Except they didn't do that on that day. Apparently, everyone else hadn't read their tourbooks. If they had, they would have known that they do it every other day and they had done the changing thing the day before. | ![]() |
| This is a statue of Queen Victoria that's on a column directly outside the gate of the palace. Maybe old Vicky has a sense of humor, but in every painting or statue of her ever made, she has a scowl. Maybe it was hemorrhoids. | ![]() |
| Here's the clock tower of the Parliament building, with Big Ben and everything. We couldn't get in. I wish we could have. Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to watch the coverage of Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons on C-Span. | ![]() |
| A statue of Winston Churchill. Not much more I can add to that. I wonder if that's his scooter. | ![]() |
| The London Underground. They had old trains. They had new trains. They were all crowded, but the tube is a handy way to get around. | ![]() |
