The Inspiration cruise is an hour and goes south to the Urquhart Castle and back. It is relaxing and gives you a view of the loch and castle you would not get from the shore.
Five facts about Loch Ness 1) It is filled with water. 2) The air above Loch Ness is a mixture of mostly nitrogen and oxygen. 3) If you covered the entire surface of the loch with pink plastic, you would need a lot of it. 4) It is not located in South America. 5) Mao Zedong never swam in Loch Ness.
This was probably the nicest weather on the trip.

While on the bow of the boat I could have sworn I heard quacking. Then I looked up to see these two.
Our lodging in Inverness was St. Ann's House, or as Karen and I kept referring to it, Stan's House.
Nice comfy beds.
The local football club in town is Inverness Caledonian Thistle. This is the ICT Social Club.
I remembered that this is the pub I visited fifteen years earlier.

This Inverness Castle holds the Sheriff Court of Inverness, but there have been other castles on this spot since the 11th century.
Queensgate Arcade, an old Victorian market with butchers and fishmongers, was closed when we got there. No fish for us that night.
The Ash restaurant is located in the Royal Highland Hotel. The food was okay but the service was fairly lacking.
But all can't be bad when you have a pint of Guinness.

University Challenge was on when we were in the room for the night. This always makes me think of the episode of The Young Ones where the gang from Scumbag College competed against Footlights College. This one however was between Trinity College-Cambridge and the University of Manchester. The student named Mitchell for Manchester was a cute girl who looked a lot like Harry Potter.
