| Tuesday morning on the MTR. Almost everyone is looking at their mobile phones. |

| When I was planning this trip I didn't know if there was enough to do in Hong Kong for five days, so I decided a day trip to another former European colony, Macau, would be a nice diversion. |

| There are regular ferry services between Hong Kong and Macau. |
 |
| I chose to go on TurboJet. I got a ticket in their Super Class section, which was a little nicer than Economy. On the trip over there weren't too many others in this section. |
 |
| A little complimentary breakfast of fruit, a muffin and a bun with some sort of brown stuff in it. I didn't like the brown stuff. |
 |
| And off we go. |

| There a a lot of islands around Hong Kong. |
 |
| An hour later we arrived at Macau. Sorry, the windows had sea spray on them so this isn't the clearest picture. |

| Once I got to the ferry terminal in Macau I had to find a cash machine. They use a different currency there. |
 |
| Where's Waldo? I think I saw him slumped in a chair in front of a slot machine. |
 |
| The Vice President Casino is smaller and less important. |
 |
| In Hong Kong, signs are in Chinese (Cantonese and sometimes Mandarin) and English. Since Macau was a former Portuguese colony, things are in Chinese, Portuguese and sometimes English. |
 |
| I don't know what this building was, but it certainly has a colonial European look. |

| The General Post Office Building, built in 1929. The facade says Correios e Telegrafos, which according to Google Translate means Post Office. Go figure. |

| Santa Casa da Misericórdia or Holy House of Mercy is a Portuguese charity founded in Lisbon in 1498. This building dates to 1569. |

| I'm no architect but I appreciate a nice looking old building. Modern architecture sucks. |
