Yes, another tradition is taking a picture of a gas station.
Since I was up and out early again and too early to go where I was going I decided to wander around the neighborhood. This is the Anchor Street Playground. In the background you can see examples of newer and older apartment buildings.
Sunday morning kick around in the park. That's not artificial grass. It's painted concrete.
She may have been practicing some routine she performs or it could be just her morning exercises.
I am glad that there is a long elevated walkway that covers most of the distance from the hotel to the MTR station.
I took a thirty minute train ride out to Tung Chung on Lantau Island, where there is a terminus for the Ngong Ping Cable Car.

The line climbs up into the mountains.
I found out that they are building something called the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which is a series of bridges and tunnels connecting those three cities. This might be part of that construction project.

I did not see a lot of houses on the trip, but here are some.

Beneath the cable cars is a large park. That is a walking path down there, but I'd rather ride instead.
Tung Chung is very near the airport.
Just like Saturday, the higher elevations were socked in with fog. Once we got to a certain height there was nothing to see out the windows but white.
At the end of the cable car trip is a tourist village called Ngong Ping.
It's mostly shops, restaurants and attractions. It's not surprising there is a Starbucks there.
