There are two small footbridges over the water between Tai O Island and Lantau Island. This is one of them.
It is not just Buddhists and Taoists over there. Even the Church of Christ has a presence.

I would rather live in one of these more modern buildings than in one of those shanties on stilts, although they don't exactly look great.

The trip back down was just as white as the trip up.
Time for some more rest at the hotel. Yesterday it was Japanese baseball. Today it is Australian football. Fremantle is routing West Coast Eagles.
Time for another walk in the neighborhood. I walked past this betting establishment every day.
Mongkok has an extremely dense population.
There are several busy pedestrian streets lined with shops.
Tung Choi Street is also known as Ladies' Market. It is full of little stands selling cheap crap.
When I travel abroad I don't eat in places I can eat at home, but that doesn't mean I don't eat food I can have at home. There are only two Burgerman locations in Hong Kong and this one was just two blocks from the hotel. I enjoyed a tasty wagyu burger, which was topped with fried onions, Japanese sesame salad and melted provolone.
The place is small. This is the entire dining area, which is why I ordered mine take-away.
