MONDAY - CHIBA
TOKYO DISNEY RESORT

Here is some more of that area that I can't figure out what it is supposed to be. It's a fort.
Jack Sparrow was wandering around one of the ships in the harbor.
The S.S. Columbia docked at the American Waterfront.
The trouble with large attractions at theme parks is the fact that the can intrude in the other themed areas. I don't recall any volcanoes in New England.
In my old age I have taken to getting dizzy rather often when spinning. That's why I avoid the Mad Tea Party at Disney parks. I guess I didn't realize that this attraction, Aquatopia, would do as much spinning as it did. I got dizzy.
Come see your favorite Disney characters on stage.

And Duffy.

And his best friend, ShellieMay.
The identification number of the plane is C-3PO. That and Star Tours is just about the extent of Star Wars in the parks.
Back to the Lost River Delta.
This little rollercoaster, called Raging Spirits, was open when I was last here but I somehow missed it. We had a long wait in line for a relatively short ride.
Mount Prometheus is bubbling and smoking.
And here we are in the Arabian Coast.
What looks like a big mosque is a double-decker carousel. I hear Mohammad was a big merry-go-round fan.
Mermaid Lagoon is mostly kids attractions.
You know you are travelling too slowly when people pushing strollers are passing you.

The first thing we did when we got into DisneySea was to get a FastPass for...
...the Tower of Terror. The ride itself is pretty much the same but the story is different. And there is that vanishing idol thing in the pre-show that I still can't figure out how it is done.
This is a new area since I was here last. It houses the Toy Story Mania ride, but we were headed out to go back to Disneyland.
Back aboard the monorail.
By far the strangest mix of Japanese and English is probably the Country Bear Jamboree. The dialog is in Japanese as are some of the songs, but other songs are in the familiar original English.
At WDW, the Enchanted Tiki Room had been taken over by Iago and Zazu from Aladdin and the Lion King, respectively, before returning to the original show. Here in Tokyo it is Stitch that butts in. I would tell you what the story was, but it was in Japanese.
Toward the end of the day the crowds were lightening up a bit. The fact that it had started raining a little helped. So we hit some more Disneyland attractions with shorter lines.
Small world Japan in big world Japan.
We hit Toontown at night. I'll say it again. I wish this ride was in WDW. Pretty soon it won't be in Anaheim either because Toontown is being replaced with a Star Wars themed land.
I think Toontown at night is more impressive than during the day.
Plus this camera that brings out the light in dimly lit situations is perfect for it.
Last but not least, Space Mountain.
I had an app on my phone that showed wait times and Space Mountain, along with most of the other E-ticket attractions, had long lines most of the day. We decided to leave this until last hoping the lines would get shorter. It did.
The loading area is similar to Disneyland in Anaheim.
It was getting cold and we were getting tired, so that was about it for the day. Closing time was 10:00 but we headed for the gate at around 9:00.
But not before some last-minute shopping. I was able to get a bowl and chopsticks I neglected to get for myself eight years ago.
