SCOTLAND DAYS 2 & 3

For me and my true love will never meet again on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
Lovely country though.

Not exactly one of those fancy new service stations with the dozen pumps and convenience store. Just two pumps and one old lady.

For me and my true love will never meet again on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Awe. Doesn't really have the same ring to it, does it?
The village of Oban, "little bay" in Gaelic, is the unofficial capital of the West Highlands and the 'Gateway to the Isles.' It seems to be a popular place for tourists. I can see why.
The picturesque Alexandra Hotel in Oban. I noticed how old the joint is, but I don't remember. It does date back to the 19th century.
For me and my true love will never meet again on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Linnhe. I'm beginning to think she's run off with some other lad.

Loch Linnhe is at the other end of the line of lochs and rivers from Loch Ness and Inverness to the northeast.

A (yes, I'm going to say it) quaint pedestrian mall in Fort William.
Scottish pensioners engaged in a spirited late-afternoon lawn bowling match in Pitlochry.
The grave of a crusader in a churchyard in Moulin. Well, at least that's what the little sign says. The slabs did look pretty old, so for the sake of interest in these photos, I'm going to say that it is authentic.
